Preparing Students for 21st Century Experiences

In Performance-Based schools, students and teachers are encouraged to collaborate during the knowledge construction process. Teachers use or create curriculum around learning standards. Students apply their math, language arts, science, social studies, communication, and other skills while they work to complete meaningful and interesting projects. Student learning is significantly enhanced because the focus is discovering the student’s interest aligning teaching practices with these interests.

Performance-Based schools continuously support teacher practice and professional development. Teachers and principals should be equipped with automation to enable them to collect information, build rich information repositories, and support individual students.

Special education and intervention teachers need access to automation tools to support their RTI initiatives while collecting and reporting intervention actions and student responses to these actions.
